Walking the Falls Guide and Map, 2nd Edition (4-page PDF)

The Walking the Falls brochure offers a map and guide highlighting four walks through the historic Falls neighborhood of South Hadley, Massachusetts. Routes include the Canal Walk in the area of the original 'inclined plane' canal system on the Connecticut River; 'Canal Village' Homes and History; the Bridge Loop over the Connecticut River to neighboring Holyoke and the seasonal Barrett Fishway; and the Cemetery Wander exploration of the historic Village Cemetery.

Copies of the brochures are also available in the Falls neighborhood at South Hadley Public Library, Town Hall, and the South Hadley Electric Light Department, as well as at Gaylord Library, Mount Holyoke College, and other locations.

Walking the Falls was developed and published by the the Rise of the Falls Facilitation Group in partnership with the South Hadley Planning Board to highlight the unique character, history and promise of the South Hadley Falls historic neighborhood. This project is funded in part by a grant from the South Hadley Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, as well as support from local businesses and community organizations.
