Commercial and Industrial Sewer Billing
Commercial and Industrial Sewer Bills are calculated at the beginning of each new fiscal year, and are based on actual numbers from the previous fiscal year of July1st to June 30th. Factors used in the calculation are dependent upon the type of facility, but include water usage, wastewater strength and volume, and the number of employees. The rate for the sewer use fee is voted yearly by the Selectboard, and is determined on an EDU (Equivalent Dwelling Unit) basis. This rate has been set at $225.00 for the FY09 sewer bills. The Water Pollution Control Division of the DPW provides the number of EDU's to be billed for commercial and industrial locations to the Collector's Office.
