Since 2007, the library has been working to plan a future library
building that will meet our community needs for the next 20 years. As
part of that process, the Library Trustees and Selectboard recently
appointed D.A. Sullivan & Sons of Northampton as Owners Project Manager
(OPM).
The OPM will assist the Library Design Study Committee in recruiting and
selecting an architect to transform our vision of the future into a
building design. We envision the designer selection process to continue
through the winter, with future site selection and design work to be
done over the summer. Our goal is the have the process complete by late
fall 2010 to apply for the next round of Massachusetts Public Library
Construction Grants.
