Independance Day Fireworks: The South Hadley fireworks are held annually at the Michael E. Smith Middle School. The date for the 2012 event will be set in January. The event features a spectacular fireworks display, food from various community non-profits, games, music and a great time! The Major Corporate Sponsor is PeoplesBank.
Easter Egg Hunt and Hat Parade: Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is held the Saturday before Easter at Buttery Brook Park. The event features an egg hunt with over 2,000 eggs that are loaded with prizes and a visit from the Easter Bunny!!! There is also a hat parade when the children show off their finest Easter hats. Winning hats are awarded a prize ribbon.
The Department offers many other activities throughout the year.
