Vital
Statistics (Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates)
Birth, death and marriage records are kept sorted first by date in
the city or town where the event occurred or where the individual
(or his or her parents in the case of birth) lived. The cost of a
certified copy issued by the South Hadley Town Clerk’s Office is $5.
Please mail your request to the Town Clerk’s Office. Include the
full name and the date of the event, a self-addressed envelope and
a check or money order for $5, payable
to the Town of South Hadley. Certified copies can also be obtained
by coming into the office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30
p.m. If you do not know in what city or town the event occurred,
you should contact:

If you can provide some information, such as the full name and
approximate range of dates, the South Hadley Town Clerk’s Office
will do a search of the records. The charge is $10 for the first
hour, or portion thereof, and $5 for each additional half-hour or
portion thereof. The first hour is payable in advance.
To request such a search, please send a written request including
as much specific information as you can, along with a check or
money order for $10 payable to the Town of South Hadley for each
requested search. Please send a separate check for the certified
copy ($5 per copy). If we do not find
the record, we will return the check for the certified copy. Mail
your request to:
