All issues related to snow and ice maintenance must go through the Highway Superintendent for review and resolution.
Any requests for snow and ice maintenance after 3:30 p.m. on weekdays or on weekends or holidays must go through the Highway Superintendent. Police requests will be addressed immediately, while resident requests will be checked and dealt with as soon as possible. Any emergency request for plowing and/or sanding will be checked and resolved in a timely manner.
Calls to the Department of Public Works (DPW) office will be placed on a list, and prioritized. Calls to the DPW answering service, after regular working hours, will be dispatched to the Highway Superintendent, who will in turn, check the concern, and dispatch DPW personnel, as needed.
Any sidewalk plowing concerns related to snow and ice maintenance will be placed on a list, and addressed during regular working hours.
Resident requests for plowing, sanding, or other snow and ice related issue, made after regular working hours, will be received by the answering service, and faxed to the DPW offices by 8:15 a.m. on the next business day.
