Explore possible locations for future residential growth and the associated advantages or disadvantages. Residents are encouraged to come and share their thoughts!
At two meetings held in October, residents were invited to learn more about the housing needs in South Hadley and the six possible zoning solutions outlined in the 2016 Housing Plan. These included Chapter 40R Smart Growth Districts, Chapter 40R Starter Home Zoning Districts, Inclusionary Zoning, zoning that would allow accessory dwelling units or “granny flats,” zoning that would allow infill development, and zoning that would allow the conversion of underutilized commercial space to residential uses.
