[ARCHIVED] Eversource to conduct transmission line maintenance

Eversource and its approved contractors will be conducting various activities associated with transmission line maintenance in Massachusetts throughout the year.

Work will take place within Eversource’s existing right of ways (powerline corridors) and Eversource-owned property. Maintaining infrastructure is one of the many ways we support the safe and secure transmission of electricity throughout the region.

Eversource will also continue inspections of existing transmission structures both by foot and drone patrols.

For larger undertakings including structure replacements or potential vegetation management projects, Eversource will communicate with nearby property owners and perform door-to-door outreach ahead of any construction activities.

Eversource has a dedicated Project Hotline Number (1-800-793-2202) or email address ( available for any project-related inquiries.

Their typical work hours will be Monday - Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please note these work activities will not interrupt electric service to homes or businesses.

As part of these ongoing efforts, Eversource may also speak with property owners in the community about topics such as securing off-right-of-way access on their properties.

For any questions, please call Eversource directly at (1-800-793-2202) or email
