Jones/Carver/Newton Conservation Areas (16.5 acres)
These three conservation areas are directly adjacent to one another and are located along the Connecticut River near River Road. The Jones/Carver/Newton Conservation Areas are heavily forested, and some trails are marked for hiking and walking. This area is located along the Connecticut River. The area is heavily forested and offers hiking trails. Parking is found at a pull-off on River Rd. Look for the sign 0.4 miles past Tigger Lane on the right. Access from Upper River Rd on foot only; stay left and look for the trail in the woods; do not use the private driveway to the right. The trails connect to the Ledges Golf Club as well to the bank of the river. Some trails cross private property; please respect all signage.
