Postcards have been mailed to all South Hadley voters who did not return their 2024 Annual Town Census (street listing) and have therefore been put on the inactive voter list, per Massachusetts General Law.
To ensure a smooth voting process for the remainder of 2024, please complete, sign, and return the postcard to the Town Clerk's Office. If you no longer live in South Hadley, please check the appropriate box and we will remove you from the voter list. Postcards are postage pre-paid and can be mailed back, but you may also return them in person at Town Hall or in the black "Treasurer/Collector" drop box located behind the South Hadley police station.
You can check or update your voter registration online by visiting https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/.
Inactive voters can still vote! Inactive voters are registered voters, but they are required to sign an affidavit and show ID before voting. Inactive voters are deleted from the voting list if they fail to vote in two federal elections and/or have not answered the Annual Census.
