All dogs over 6 months old must be licensed annually in South Hadley, as per Massachusetts General Law. Dog License renewals must be submitted by March 31st to avoid the $5.00 late fee. The late fee does not apply to new dogs or puppies that turn 6 months older after April 1st.
Licensing fees:
- Spayed/Neutered dog: $15.00 per dog ($20.00 if renewed after March 31st)
- Not spayed/Not neutered dog: $20.00 per dog ($25.00 if renewed after March 31st)
How to Apply:

- In-person: Stop by the Town Clerk's office at 116 Main St, South Hadley, MA, during office hours. Please bring cash or check for the fee and a current copy of the rabies vaccination certificate.
- Mail: Please mail a check or money order paid to the Town of South Hadley to the Town Clerk's office at 116 Main St, South Hadley, MA 01075. Please include a copy of the current rabies vaccination certificate and a self-addressed envelope.
