As a municipality, South Hadley does not host or regulate any holiday - including Halloween - or have any authority to do so.
Trick-or-treating is an organic event that unfolds naturally among town residents. The municipality does not determine hours, locations or postponement.
It is up to residents or neighborhoods to decide if they collectively want to postpone trick-or-treating in their neighborhoods for bad weather, stick it out with umbrellas, or head somewhere with an indoor activity.
All we do is encourage you to be safe and considerate of your neighbors.
