A town-wide parking ban is in effect today, Friday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. until Sunday, Jan. 30 at noon. All violators are subject to, and will be issued, a $25 fine. They also risk being towed. No appointments to the transfer station will be accepted for Saturday, Jan. 29.

Park on the even numbered side of the street on even days; park on the odd numbered side of the street on odd days. The South Hadley Police Department will enforce this ban. No on-street parking is allowed on:

  • Bridge Street
  • Lamb Street
  • Bardwell Street
  • Main Street
  • Lower North Main Street
  • Route 116

You must move your vehicle between 8 and 9 a.m. to the opposite side of the street every day of the ban. Please park in your driveway if possible.

Please also remember to clear sidewalks of snow within 48 hours after a parking ban has expired. For everyone’s safety, we ask those with hydrants and storm drains on their properties to clear them of snow, ice and debris.

If you are able, we always encourage cooperation between neighbors. Thank you for assistance in this community effort to get through the winter together!
