[ARCHIVED] Construction on Newton Street to Commence 7/28

Ludlow Construction is planning to commence construction operations on Newton Street, between the Route 202 intersection in the south and Kendrick Street in the north, on Thursday, July 28th. Specific items of work are listed below, per the contractor’s most recent schedule. The only work occurring in the permitted areas this year will be the clearing and grubbing.

 

Tree & plant protection fence, tree trimming, removal - August

Drainage – July to early September

Retaining walls (near Camden Street & across from the high school) – mid August to mid October

Herbicide/clearing & grubbing at dam locations – mid September

Curb, widening, wheelchair ramps – late September to early November

Underground electrical & signal foundations (Lyman St intersection & fire station) – mid September to early December
