The Town of South Hadley will hold public hearings on the following topics: town and school budgets for fiscal year 2025, sewer rate increases and curbside trash collection.
March 20 - FY25 Budget
The Selectboard and School Committee will hold FY25 budget hearings on Wednesday, March 20 starting at 6 p.m. The public is also welcome to a meet and greet with town and school administration prior to the hearings at 5:30 p.m. The hybrid meeting will be held at the senior center. April 13 - Sewer & Trash Changes
Wastewater management is an important part of town government. The public can download this document to review the wastewater budget and projections. Change the rates in the yellow BOX to change the budget figures. Keep an eye on the first and last lines, which represent the projected department balances at the beginning and end of the year. The sewer operating and capital projects come out of this budget so keep in mind that cash flow is key and balances should continue to be at or near $1m to ensure the system is able to operate and anticipate emergencies: Sewer Projection Analysis 2024
The South Hadley Selectboard will hold public hearings on upcoming sewer rate increases and trash collection changes on Saturday, April 13. The hearings, led by Town Administrator Lisa Wong and Director of Public Works John Broderick, will begin at 9 a.m. at the South Hadley Senior Center with a discussion on the sewer rate increases and the capital improvements behind them. At 10 a.m., the hearing will turn to a discussion on the upcoming curbside trash collection changes. The public is encouraged to attend.
