The absentee / mail-in voting ballot collection box has arrived and been installed.
It is located between the South Hadley Police Department building and South Hadley Town Hall. Drive into the police station parking lot and head in the direction of the parking lot behind town hall. On the left, up against the rear of the police station building, will be the collection box.
Two security cameras are trained on the box for protection.
* An added note about returning ballots via the USPS: The town clerk’s office has arranged with the local postmaster for the South Hadley Post Office to collect all mailed ballots and securely deliver them to the clerk’s office. The ballots will not be sent to a distribution center in Springfield or Hartford. They will remain local, significantly reducing any possibility of ballots getting lost.
