The 2026 Curbside Collection of Yard Waste begins April 20th and ends May 1st. Yard waste must be curbside by 7 AM on your trash/recycling collection day. Each route will have one collection. Brush must be tied in bundles (no metal) of not more than 4 foot lengths. Leaves, grass and brush only. NO PLASTIC BAGS.

Off-week curbside pick-up
If you need an additional trash pick-up on top of the bi-weekly service, Contact Republic Services directly by calling 1-800-551-5584 to coordinate one for a subsequent subscription fee. Note this is limited to (1) 64 gallon TOWN ISSUED trash cart and NO RECYCLING per off week.
Trash Stickers
Current trash/recycling center/compost stickers are now available. The $250 Fiscal Year trash fee must be paid in order to obtain a sticker. Payments may be made online or via mail with a check. The DPW does not take payments for the trash fee. Mail checks made out to the Town of South Hadley to South Hadley Treasurer/Collector’s Office ATTN: Permit Stickers, 116 Main Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
Abatement Application
Curbside Fee abatement applications will only be accepted within 30 days of the billing date, typically during the month of October.
